Last December I wrote already about some past stuff (Sad Eurovision stories), mainly because the stupid little cause I fought for and lost my career for was approved totally right. The rehearsals were now more limited than ever in the Eurovision history and that was good.
Now in the eve of Eurovision Song Contest final 2013 there are two big scandals bubbling under, and the epicenter is Turkey. The issues are the running order and the Lesbian kiss.
RUNNING ORDER
Turkish television TRT already refused to take part this year because the organizers and the EBU reference group decided that the running order will be decided by the producers. They were absolutely right. I would have liked to see many other countries to do the same.
Anybody with a little brain could have said it's not a good idea: it's putting down the efforts of hundreds and hundreds of professionals who are competing. No matter how stupid it is to compete in arts, ESC is a song contest and the rules should be fair and equal to the participants. Now they are not.
A draw is the only fair way and it's a huge scandal what Swedish Television and EBU are doing this year. Pure corruption! The case of Georgia is the most interesting one. Really, by which measures it can justified that Georgian entry is the last ballad both in the second semifinal and in the final?

For this opinion (see pic) I got my first ever Facebook ban! And I have been posting violent hate speech against Christians, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, Chinese, Indian, Leftists, Righteous, you name it... Denying Holocaust, calling Prophet Muhammed for a pedophile... But now it seems that the Swedish Television and Eurovision Song Contest producers are bigger than CIA, New World Order, Allah and Chinese Communist Party combined. Untouchable!
12 hours ban. It's a tiny penalty but I'm convinced that it is a proof that the offended person knows who I am and that I was right. The same opinion was not banned from my own wall, only from the FB page of ESCToday fan portal. Facebook is full of blatant hate speech. But for my critics against EBU and SVT on the stupid FB page which they read for their low self-esteem, I got a ban. Hey, I'm really doing something right here!
The idea of not having too many slow or too many fast numbers together could have been easily solved by putting the entries in the basket according to BPM (beats per minute). Why didn't you ask me or any other music professional or any Eurovision fan, gay or not, with a little brain?
LESBIAN KISS
The gorgeous Finnish singer is giving an innocent kiss to her background singer. So what? The hypocrisy of the Turkish television on this matter is beyond every imagination if you check all the amount of Turkish boobs and asses shaking in the history of contest. And maybe there were some more subtle hints to homosexuality as well, I don't know, but at least handsome and very sexual guys from Turkey, too.
Already back in 1957, in the second contest, the Danish couple performed a far more sexual, yet heterosexual, kiss.
Well, officially Turkish television TRT has not admitted the Lesbian kiss being the reason of a sudden change of mind, but obviously this is the biggest political scandal in the history of the contest.
I was there in Riga 10 years ago when t.A.T.u., their genius manager and Russian television were playing their media games. Then, Russia was really menaced by disqualification if the girl do anything else than agreed. If I remember right, they were not talking about kissing, but really getting nude, touching body parts and even having dildo-shaped microphones. It was pure media game. By the way, Turkey won them by only 3 points with their very sexual harem dance full of nude Austrian blondes with the Turkish lead singer.

I'm flattered that my little provocation in the fans forum was noticed even in the Swedish press! I proposed that Sweden should be disqualified from the contest for a couple of years for this corrupt action... On my FB wall I actually proposed that Finland should declare a war to Sweden, for once! Even that was not banned, yet.
I want to add only this statistical fact: usually the Eurovision winner has a big margin to the second place, so the running order doesn't decide the winner. It's not a serious matter for that. Hopefully. However, it can have a big influence on the last qualifiers in the semifinals and the other placements as the history shows.

As an artist the idea of submitting your creative work to a voting in order to get a media attention is already too much for many. So, if there's a song contest, it should be better than this. So, as an artist and songwriter a strongly oppose to this arbitrary power of TV producers as well as the discrimination of live music in the Eurovision Song Contest. Stop the dark ages and bring back the live orchestra!
